Writer and blogger. I especially like to tell people’s stories - EVERYONE has an important story to tell!
Lover of all sports, especially my son, David’s soccer, basketball and baseball teams; Notre Dame football; college basketball; St. Louis Cardinals and Blues; AND all things Trinity High School of course!
Avid bike rider and dog walker.
Passionate about my big, extended family, volunteering as a Big Sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters and my church.
Love to travel to places near and far and to attend concerts. First concert was Elvis Presley and last concert was Pink.
What is your favorite thing about your career?
I love sharing my passion for Spanish. I also enjoy teaming up with parents and students to develop a plan for student success. I firmly believe all students can achieve! When I see a student grow in confidence - that means the world to me!
If you weren’t a spanish teacher, what would you do?
I would love to write for TV or develop a screenplay. I’ve also wanted to own a hotel or a restaurant that’s a stopping place for travelers. I think about sitting with people and finding out where they are going and why.
Which teacher had the greatest impact on you?
My high school Spanish teacher had the most impact. She was enthusiastic about the subject matter and she made learning fun! She believed in all of her students who in turn learned to believe in themselves.
What is one of your life goals?
One of my life goals is to write a book or a screenplay. I bought a copy of Good Will Hunting so that I could see the actual format of a good screenplay.
What is your favorite vacation spot or where you dream of vacationing?
My favorite spot to date was Maui. It was absolutely picture perfect and the people couldn’t have been more welcoming and relaxed. I have a long list of dream vacation destinations, including Italy, El Salvador, Greece, and Ireland. My son, David, wants to go to Canada and to Iceland. So that’s on my list too!
