Boys Soccer
The Trinity Athletic Department is an integral part of life at Trinity Catholic High School. Trinity sports and other extra curricular activities add to the well-being of many of our students. Over sixty-eight percent of the student body participate in sports at Trinity.
The youthful Trinity Catholic High School varsity soccer team competes in the Archdiocesan Athletic Association Conference which the Titans won in 2006. In addition, the Titans were State Runners-Up in 2003 and 2005. Currently, there are over 50 players in the program, which bodes well for the future of Titan Soccer.

Congratulations to our Trinity Boys Soccer Team on their impressive showing in the 2008 State Soccer Tournament last weekend finishing SECOND IN THE STATE. On Friday the Titans defeated St. Pius X from Kansas City winning 3-1. St. Pius came into the tournament with a 19 game winning streak but were stopped by the mighty Titans. Junior Joe Pieper tallied the hat trick (3 goals) for Trinity and increased his total goals scored for the year to 29. On Saturday in the State Finals the Titans fell 1-0 to the John Burroughs Bombers. Although Trinity played a man short for two-thirds of the game, the team held the Bombers to only 1 goal thanks to our outstanding defense led by Bob Keeven, Corey Kinnison, Nick Hutson, and Brandon Pegg. Burroughs had been ranked #1 in the metropolitan area small school division all year. Congratulations to our senior players, Pat Hanlon, Kevin Murphy, and Jordan Stretch on a great year – they will be missed. The Titans are coached by Vince Drake.
We are very proud of our soccer Titans. This is the third time in the six years of Trinity’s existence that the Titans have played in the State Soccer Finals. Our teams just keep getting better. The team and fans are already talking about next year.
The Varsity Soccer team successfully completed its season, finishing as Runner-up in the State Tournament. The team surprised everyone ending up with a 14-12-1 record, led by Juniors Joe Pieper (29 goals), Bobby Terranova (3 goals, 14 assists), defenders Bobby Keeven, Brendan Pegg, Corey Kinnison, Nick Hutson, goalie Dan Cimicata, midfielder Mike Longinette, seniors Jordan Stretch (8 goals, 7 assists), Kevin Murphy, sophomores Jon Musgrave (10 goals), and goalie Matt Derrington and freshmen Nick Nemerguth, Jordan Verbanaz, and Mike Hardin.
