Trinity 2020 Scholar Athlete...
...Jada Vence, Class of 2021
Whether it’s on the softball field, the basketball court, the soccer field or in the classroom, Jada Vence, the Trinity Catholic Scholar Athlete for this quarter, never fails to give it her all. The senior is an exemplary student and a member of the National Honor Society. She is a multi-sport athlete, a fine citizen and a tremendous representative through the Student Ambassador program.
On the softball field, Vence, batted .292 with 31 runs scored and 12 runs batted in for the Titans in the fall of 2019. Unfortunately, Covid-19 restrictions have pushed the Trinity Catholic softball season to the spring this year. Vence’s junior year on the basketball court was her first as a full-time varsity starter. She played in all of the team’s 21 games and averaged 3.8 points and four rebounds per game from her forward position. Vence’s favorite sport is soccer and she’s been a varsity starter at forward for the Titans since her freshmen year. Although Covid-19 claimed her junior season last year, Vence is hoping to have a standout senior season this coming spring. In two varsity seasons Vence has 13 goals and 13 assists for the Titans.
Vence will continue playing soccer in college. She recently committed to Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS and will play soccer and study Pre-Med at the NAIA school.
Jada Vence is certainly one of Trinity Catholic’s best and brightest and she will most definitely be missed next year. Congratulations Jada on being named this quarter’s Trinity Catholic Scholar Athlete.
