What teacher(s) had the greatest impact on you?
Tom Montgomery was my high school history teacher and softball coach who had a profound impact on the way I understand history and how to think critically.
Dr. Steve Molvarec, S.J. was a college professor of mine that furthered my love for history. He challenged me to dive right into the work of a historian.
What are your life goals?
I hope to one day raise a family of my own, and I have aspirations to get a PhD in History someday. I also have personal goals to publish a book, and I’d also like to own a piano :)
What is your favorite vacation spot?
I absolutely love northern Wisconsin, especially in the summertime. Each year my family stays in a cabin on Lost Lake in St. Germain, WI. It is one of my favorite spots on earth.
What is your favorite thing about your career?
I love when students have “lightbulb” moments. It really excites me when my students are able to begin thinking on their own and asking big questions about the topic we’re studying. I also love that I get to continue learning and growing along with my students.
I love painting, writing, playing basketball, and disc golf. I have also been learning how to play the piano for about two years now!
